CHARLESTON, S.C.—SOL Southwest Kitchen will donate a portion of its proceeds to local youth development programs from May 1 to June 12.
First Tea – Greater Charleston’s limited-time Kitchen Karma specials include Spicy Citrus Peach Margarita, Peach by the Beach Cocktail, Under the Bourbon Sun Cocktail, Oaxaca Sunset Cocktail, Peach Nojito Mocktail, and Drunken Beef Nachos.
SOL's Mount Pleasant and Somerville stores support youth golf access and interpersonal skills building efforts at seven golf courses, 41 schools and various community centers in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties will donate $1 for every Kitchen Karma menu sold.
Since launching Kitchen Karma in 2013, SOL has raised approximately $100,000 for local causes. “This was a way for us to give back,” says restaurant owner David Clark. “Our only criteria when choosing a charity is that the funds raised stay local. First Tee – Greater Charleston provides character development programs to thousands of children each year right here in Charleston. , is the perfect partner because we not only teach golf, but also empower leaders who will shape the future of our community.”

Founded in 2008, First Tee – Greater Charleston serves youth from all walks of life, ages 5 to 18. The 501(c)3 provides on-course, in-school and community outreach programs that teach life-enriching values and interpersonal skills through the game of golf.
