A few years ago, I wanted a traditional style rug for my home, but where did I shop?

Honestly, this is one of the best and cheapest sites for home decor and furniture.
Wayfair boasts products from 5,000 brands, including furniture, lighting, and cookware.
Most items come with free shipping, and many are reasonably priced.
Of course, not everything sold on Wayfair is cheap — some products and brands are on the pricier side — but it's still a pretty affordable store.
Despite the wide selection and affordable prices, many of us still turn to sites like Wayfair — after all, it's good to have options when shopping, right?
The stores on our list are similar to Wayfair in style, affordability, product selection, quality, or all of the above.

So, if you are wondering what are the alternatives like Wayfair, then check out our list of Wayfair alternative sites.
1. IKEA
Looking for an affordable desk for your home office?
IKEA has a huge range to choose from. How about some bunk beds for your kids' rooms?
Those are included too.
In fact, IKEA has almost everything you need for your home, and their storage solutions are amazing too.
IKEA's prices are low, so you get a lot of value for your money here. If you're looking for high-quality, affordable modern furniture, it's hard to beat IKEA.
2. Tuesday Morning
Shop Tuesday Morning for a happy home and a happy wallet. This discount store has everything you need for home décor, furniture, and more.
They have a great selection of products, all at great prices, and shipping is free on orders over $149, who doesn't want to save on shipping?
I love this site because the rugs are cheap, and they also make great accent pieces for your home, like curtains and pillows. I love that a lot of the inventory on this site is classic, so it will last a long time.
3. Amazon
Let’s start with who Wayfair’s biggest competitor is: Amazon!
Amazon sells just about anything you can think of, and the site doesn't disappoint in the home decor department.
Good looking but cheap furniture? – Check!
A great selection of products to suit every style, from classic to contemporary? – Check!
Amazon has it all.
I had an awkward little space in my bedroom that was tall but narrow and didn't have much space in front, and I wanted a small drawer that would fit in there, but lo and behold, where was the thing I was looking for?
On Amazon, of course!
Amazon is a great alternative to Wayfair because it is cheaper, and the best thing about Amazon is that it has a lot of reviews, so you can check them out before you decide to buy.
If you don't already have Prime, sign up now – it's not too expensive, you get free shipping on eligible orders, and there's no minimum shipping charge.
4. World Market
Looking for home décor and furniture from around the world? Try World Market. Their products are simple yet stylish and will brighten up any home. They also sell imported rugs, which are great.
The site has a wide range of indoor and outdoor furniture, and you'll also find a lot of beautiful home decor items.
Everything is affordable: You'll find tables under $100, rugs between $10 and $25, inexpensive vases and other home decor items for around $5, and many other great deals.
5. Urban Outfitters
The two words that immediately come to mind when thinking about Urban Outfitters' home goods selection are trendy and affordable. For those with a modern sense of style, Urban Outfitters is a good alternative to Wayfair.
Not everything listed there is super cheap — there are chairs for $500, for example — but sometimes you can find some great deals.
If you're on a budget, we recommend filtering your results by clicking the drop-down menu next to “Sort by” and selecting “Price: Lowest first.”
You can find home decor items for as little as $5.
6. Anthropologie
Anthropologie is a great choice for bohemian or traditional style home decor.
You'll find everything you need to decorate your home, including pillows, lamps, wallpaper, and more.
Anthropologie's range is truly beautiful. The products come in a variety of styles and colours. They have items in a range of hues from muted pinks to deep greens, and they have a wide variety of items from traditional mirrors to modern rugs.
Sure, it's not the cheapest place to shop, but if you're looking for the same selection of beautiful goods you'll find at Wayfair, stores like Anthropologie are definitely worth considering.
7. CB2
CB2 is like a Wayfair for modern furniture and contemporary home decor. If you love modern style home decor, CB2 is the place to go.
You can buy everything from sofas to dining tables, outdoor furniture and home accessories.
The site has a clearance section where you can get up to 60% off. CB2 has just about everything you need in furniture, including sofas, dining chairs, dining tables, nightstands, rugs, lighting, and more. Like Wayfair, they also have a pretty large selection of furniture and home decor items.
In terms of affordability, I think there are better options than CB2. I think CB2 is on the more expensive side compared to IKEA and Amazon. Still, if you're looking for the same range and quality of products you'll find at Wayfair, CB2 is worth a try.
8. West Elm
West Elm offers a wide variety of furniture and home decor items, including bookcases, coffee tables, recliners, sofas, chairs, bedding, rugs, and more.
They basically have everything you need to spruce up your home, and the brand is known for its midcentury modern designs.
If you keep an eye on West Elm's sale schedule, you can score great deals on all kinds of items.
9. Birch Lane
If you are looking for farmhouse or traditional style furniture, Birch Lane is the place to go.
From furniture to bedding to rugs, Birch Lane has everything you need to beautify your home.
Shipping is free on orders over $35, and the site also has a sales section where you can find lots of great deals.
10. All Modern
If you're a fan of modern furniture, you'll love shopping at AllModern, where you can choose from a wide variety of products, from furniture to lighting, wall art, and bedding.
Free shipping is available on all furniture purchases over $35, and the site also has a sales section where you can find great deals.

12. H&M
H&M isn't just a place to buy trendy clothes – they also have a great selection of home decor, making them a great alternative to Wayfair.
Whether it's curtains, rugs, blankets, wall decorations or furniture, H&M has everything you need to spruce up your home.
H&M's styles are trendier and more modern, so if that's your thing, their homeware selection is perfect for you.
There are also plenty of ways to save money at H&M, including 10% off for students, and a sales section on the site where you can get huge discounts of 60% off and more.
The sale section has a subsection dedicated to home goods.
Sign up to receive emails and texts and get 15% off your order.
13. Zara
Like H&M, Zara is primarily known as a clothing retailer, but like H&M, they also have a wide range of home goods. Zara's home collection features modern designs and clean styles.
The site has a wide selection of furniture, including chairs and sofas, as well as rugs, wall decorations, and other decorative items to brighten up your home.
Zara's prices aren't the cheapest, so it's not the best option if you're on a budget, but they do have some lovely pieces that would look great in your home.
14. Walmart
Whenever I want something cheap I always go to Walmart, and it really never fails!
If you're looking for a store like Wayfair but cheaper, Walmart is a pretty safe choice!
I think this would be a great option for rugs, wall art, and other home decor items.
The prices are also very affordable: for example, coffee tables can be purchased for under $50, picture frames for between $1 and $5, and vases for under $5.
I especially love Walmart's storage solutions. You can get any storage solution you need at Walmart, whether that be food storage, bathroom storage, shoe storage, furniture storage, etc. And, like Walmart, the prices are all super cheap.
Walmart also offers 90 days free returns.
By the way,”Is Wayfair owned by Walmart?“That's not true! There seems to be a misconception that Walmart owns Wayfair. I think this comes from the fact that there were rumors of a partnership or acquisition several years ago that never materialized.
15. Target
When I want cheap home decor, I go to Walmart, but when I want both affordability and quality, I go to Target.
Target's website has a great selection of home decor items and furniture. It's a really good alternative to Wayfair. The prices are also affordable. For example, you can get rugs for as low as $30, garden decor for just $10, and accent tables for $70.
Choose from a wide range of furniture and home decor items.
The site features a clearance section where you can get great discounts.
Orders over $35 get free 2-day shipping, and contactless pickup and same-day delivery are also available.
The reason I love Target is because of all the opportunities it offers to save money.
There is a weekly ad and a target circle.
Target Circle is a store loyalty program. When you join, you earn 1% of Target Circle earnings rewards every time you make an eligible purchase with any payment other than RedCard, which can be used in Target stores or online.
At Target Circle, you can access over 100 deals on your birthday and also get 5% off every purchase.
Wayfair Alternatives: Final Thoughts
Let's be honest, Wayfair is one of the best sites for all things furniture and home decor.
The site features a variety of styles and designs, from modern to traditional.
You can get everything there, from sofas to desks to drawers. Wayfair has a huge selection of products and often has great deals that can save you money, but as you'll see from our list, there's no other site like it.
With a list of sites like Wayfair, you'll have plenty of places to shop the next time you're buying new furniture or home decor items to spruce up your home.
