process:
– First, I gave the wood cabinets a thorough cleaning using KRUD KUTTER PC32 Pre-Paint Cleaner/TSP Alternative. I'd read lots of reviews of this cleaner and heard it was great for removing grease and grime, and it really did work.
– I sanded the cabinets.
– Next I primed the cabinets using a special wood primer.
– Once the primer was dry I painted the cabinets with Nuvo Paint. I applied it in 4 thin layers. It's important to apply each layer thinly because it will dry weirdly. If any paint pools in the corners of the cabinets it will crack so make sure you apply it thinly.
– I also purchased a regular paint brush along with the kit. Some blogs have suggested using a foam brush, but I didn't like the way it applied the paint to the cabinets.” —Daniel Joy
