For those who've recently bought their first apartment and are looking to furnish it, nothing can completely kill your hopes of having an Instagram-worthy crib like the cost of furniture. Luckily, a lot of what makes a home is in the details, and the right home decor can go a long way in elevating a space without spending a fortune.
We consulted home influencers and content creators who constantly flood our feeds with perfectly curated rooms to find out which Amazon home decor items they actually recommend. From chic pillowcases to the perfect accent rug, these home decor essentials are just what you need to upgrade your home.
“I'm always looking for ways to upgrade everything in my home,” says Andres, “so when I saw these shot glasses made from green onyx marble, I knew I had to have them. Because the stone is natural, each piece is unique and of exceptional quality.” They're also available in white onyx.
Scheppers describes this adorable lamp as “perfect for a desk, nightstand, or console table and an absolute bargain considering the price.” He recommends using a warm white bulb for its “amber glow.”
Candle warmers are super trendy these days, but they're actually pretty practical: They help your candle last longer and don't require an open flame. Interior decorator and content creator Cassandra Kirkpatrick recommends them. “They're so cool, and they let you control how fast your candle melts,” she says. “The brighter you set it, the faster your candle will melt.”
“This stone tray looks super premium and is a versatile décor piece that's perfect for any room,” says Cody Scheppers, content creator, interior decorator, and part of the Highboy LA team. “Marble and travertine items can be pricey, so the price is a bargain considering the quality,” he says. This tray is perfect for holding everything from keys to remotes to jewelry. The list goes on!
Kimberly Anne Tish, a fashion and lifestyle content creator, calls the magazine rack a “beautiful and functional” decor piece. “It's great for small spaces because it maximizes vertical storage,” she says. “My favorite colors are clear for a clean, minimalist vibe and orange for a colorful midcentury modern industrial space.”
“I spend a lot of time thinking about coffee tables,” says content creator and interior stylist Imani Keel, “because they can get pricey fast.” She ended up falling in love with a nearly $800 coffee table and set out to find a similar-looking, more affordable option. “The design is a little simpler, but the overall style and functionality is the same,” she says. She recommends stacking two to three books and styling them with floral arrangements and candles.
“If you're into a modern, minimalist vibe, this lamp is definitely for you,” says home influencer and content creator Sage Phillips. “It gives off a warm, inviting glow that will make any room feel more inviting.”

“You won't find a better deal online than these blackout velvet curtains,” says Marissa Zingg, a New England-based home and crafts content creator. “They come in a variety of earthy and rich colors, so they'll easily complement any room,” she says. Saylor recommends similar curtains that she has hanging in her own living room. “People always ask if they're custom made,” she says. “They're a steal, and they look a lot more expensive than they are.”

“These colorful [candlestick holders] Perfect for the dining table [or] The mantelpiece is a suggestion from interior designer and home and lifestyle content creator Amber Guyton, who suggests styling it on the surfaces of bookshelves, shelves, dressers, and more.
“This mirror is super heavy and has really great quality,” says Katie Falbo, an interior decorator and another member of the Highboy LA team. “We've used it in one of our clients' homes and would definitely buy it again and use it in our own home,” she says. “The mirror is full-length, the tassel fabric is soft, and it looks really nice.”
If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to the popular mushroom lamp, Falbo recommends this piece. “The orange is vibrant and gives off a great warm glow at night,” she says. “If you want to add a pop of color, this is a great piece.”
Zamora calls them “the perfect accent piece for any kitchen,” adding that in addition to accentuating modern designs, they're also “perfect for displaying décor and accessories.”
“Changing pillowcases as the seasons change is one of my favorite ways to freshen up my home,” says interiors content creator Chelsea Zepherina. “I'm always amazed at how expensive some things can be. This scalloped pillow looks like a designer brand, but it's a fraction of the price.” Another option we love is this velvet pillowcase from Danielson.
“I wanted to invest in a premium silverware set for my home, but couldn't resist spending over $200 on a pair of forks and spoons,” says Zepherina. “I picked up this set instead a few months ago and have been so impressed with the overall look and durability.” Digital creator and interior decorator Maitri Modi is also a fan, telling us she's been using the set in the gingham print option for three years. “I get compliments all the time from guests and my social media followers,” she says.
“These trees come in a variety of sizes and are incredibly lifelike,” says Maddie Andres, interiors and home content creator. “They look so lifelike because the leaves and branches aren't a bright green, but a perfect muted green.” Guyton also recommends this artificial olive tree. “Faux trees are the perfect accessory for any space, but especially a corner of a living room,” she says. “Placing one of these trees in a beautiful planter can really elevate the atmosphere of a room.”

Phillips loves that these framed artworks “add a touch of elegance and vintage charm to any space.” “Whether you like landscapes, florals or a classic vintage look, there's something for everyone,” she says.
“Having a Bedside Carafe on my nightstand has been life-changing,” says Kirkpatrick. “Not only is it beautiful, it's made staying hydrated morning and night so much easier. The carafe comes in a variety of colors, and the Art Deco design is a beautiful mix of vintage and modern.”
Danielson explains that this funky rug is her go-to when a space needs a little extra oomph: “It's perfect to layer over a larger rug or to place under a small desk or dressing table,” she says.

“This vase is one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon,” says Andres. “I tend to gravitate towards moody decor and this vase is perfect for those who love dark, yet organic pieces. The quality is superb, the texture is just right, and it looks incredibly expensive.”
“This is a great example of a piece that looks much more expensive than it actually is,” says Kirkpatrick. “Similar coffee tables sold at other retailers cost over $1,000.” She adds, “The design of this coffee table is a perfect mix of organic and modern, making it the perfect statement piece for your living room.”

“During our recent renovation, we updated the single plug in our bathroom with this brass switch plate cover,” says Keal, who replaced the basic white switch plate. “From a design standpoint, replacing the outlet and cover makes the space feel fresh,” she adds, “because over time they can look yellowed and dingy after a while.”
“Everyone wants a tiled, checkerboard marble floor, but sometimes it's just not affordable,” says Keel, “especially if you're renting, like me.” She chose peel-and-stick floor tiles to create a gorgeous marble look in her recent kitchen remodel. “Because my kitchen is small, this DIY project cost me under $150 and took me four hours,” she says. “If I'd used real tile, the price would have been closer to $1,000 and would have taken much longer.”
“I love a nice little lamp, and this one has such a fun, retro feel,” Danielson says. “I get so many compliments on it, but people always assume it's vintage.” She adds that the lamp would be perfect for a desktop or countertop.
This orange juice carton doubles not only as a watering can, but also as an attractive vase. “This versatility adds a creative and practical touch to your home,” says Doan. “It makes a standout piece for both gardening and decorating purposes.”
