California Cuisine
Part of a ground-up construction project in Brentwood, California, this kitchen is warm, bright and inviting. Farrow & Ball The cabinets' gray paint color is paired with bronze cabinet hardware from Nanz, modern faucets from Dornbracht, and pendant lamps from Lindsay Adelman. The countertops are adorned with Calacatta Lincoln Polished Marble, and the wooden ceiling is used to complement the wooden floors.
The kitchen also has a walk-in pantry that can be closed off with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors – truly a California dream.
Chef's Oasis
This kitchen was part of a comprehensive interior design project for a home built from the ground up to meet the needs of a discerning chef who values both functionality and aesthetics. The design integrates the kitchen with the rest of the home, creating an open, inviting space where the chef can interact with the family.
The lower cabinets are painted Benjamin Moore's Glacier White, the upper cabinets are rift-cut white oak, and the island has hardware from Buster & Punch. The cabinetry hides a few surprises, including an espresso bar and wine bar, and also provides access to a fully stocked walk-in pantry. No feature was forgotten. The Wolf range hood is clad in Fior di Pesco Carnico marble, which is also used for the wall-to-wall backsplash and island counter. The pendant lights are vintage Italian, and the plumbing was by House of Law.
Country Chateau
Step into this renovated home with French country chateau-style architecture. The renovation of this equestrian property called for rustic yet sophisticated interiors. French limestone and river rock give the kitchen a relaxed and inviting feel. The chairs are upholstered in finely woven Lee Jofa linens, the table is sourced from Lucca Antiques, and the wallpaper is by Rose Tarlow.
Show Stopper
Waterworks Kitchen from the Bridle Collection. This “show” kitchen combines wood on the perimeter cabinetry with paint-grade cabinetry on the island. The store's eye-catching La Corne range lines the entire back wall and features Calacatta Gold polished marble throughout the countertops and backsplash. Waterworks Henry faucets in polished nickel complement the space. A steel-and-glass door on the left leads to the stainless steel chef's kitchen, while a steel-and-glass door on the right leads to the walk-in food pantry.
Italian Villa
These kitchens are by Italy-based firm Boffi. It was a ground-up project completed in Toronto, where the designers used a high-gloss polyester finish on the lower cabinets and wood on the upper cabinets. Highlights of the kitchen are the Arclinea hood and the light fixture above the breakfast table, while the kitchen on the right is entirely in white polyester with polished Calacutta Extra marble countertops and splashback.
Sky High Living
Check out the kitchen at Century Plaza High-Rise. It exudes a cozy atmosphere with sophisticated flair. The window coverings are made from delicate draped sheers by Coraggio. The pendant lights hanging above the kitchen are elegant Boudoir pendant lights designed by Midoriaz, and the bar stools are from the Helen Aumont Collection. They are upholstered in luxurious Diamond Mowgli fabric by Pierre Frey. The deep hues of Benjamin Moore paint on the walls complement the rich walnut wood paneling.
