Popular Oakley brewery Mad Tree's annual birthday party, Bonanza, will be held this weekend, and in addition to the festivities, it will also celebrate the grand reopening of its new kitchen.
Bonanza will be held all day Saturday, March 16th at Mad Tree's taproom and will feature live music, family-friendly activities, rare beers and the brewery's new menu.
“Bonanza is our favorite party of the year,” MadTree founder Kenny McNutt said in a press release. “It started in my backyard and has grown into this wonderful annual celebration. This year is a special year for us. This is a milestone marked by offering our guests a new menu and a whole new experience. is.”
After Catch-A-Fire Pizza left last year, MadTree closed its kitchen for renovations. Changes include technological advancements and built-in efficiencies, such as adding mobile ordering from anywhere in the space and streamlining the to-go ordering process. In addition to pizza, the new menu also includes new items such as nachos, snacks, salads, sandwiches, and a kids menu.
Bonanza begins at 10 a.m. with a ticketed tie-dye event ($35 for adults, $28 for children; tickets can be purchased here ), followed by rare and specialty beer tastings every hour until 6 p.m. Games and activities will be held throughout the day. There will be Jenga, Cornhole, Pop-A-Shot and Connect 4, as well as kid-friendly activities such as ring toss, coloring and chalk stations. A photo booth will also be set up.
The band Soul Pocket will perform in the Barrel Room from 6pm to 10pm, and there will be karaoke in the Oakley Room from 8pm to 11pm. Mad Tree will also be holding gift card giveaways at various times throughout the day.
As part of its 1% For the Planet initiative, MadTree will donate 1% of all sales during Bonanza to local nonprofits, including the Cincinnati Park Foundation, Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, Adventure Crew, and Groundwork ORV.
