A photo of McFiasco from a McDonald's store started going viral on the internet after it was shared on social media.
Debate has erupted on Reddit after a fast food employee was photographed with a look of pure disgust on her face as the situation behind McDonald's kitchen sinks was exposed. Behind-the-scenes photos showed years of filth and mold building up under the restaurant's mop sink.
The removed mop sink showed what appeared to be black mold engulfing the base, and the look of disgust on the crew member's face showed how horrifying this discovery was for him. It spoke eloquently.
It was no longer about 'happy eating' after people online saw the employee's antics

“The crew [sic] “Reaction to years of nasty water, food debris, and mold building up under an improperly sealed mop sink (the mop sink was literally floating),” said a user called r/McDonaldsEmployees. the caption of the post shared on the Reddit group reads.
The disturbing image quickly gained traction on Reddit, where fellow employees weighed in.
One person wrote, “It smells good,” while another wrote, “A strong smash.”
A one-word comment, “Wow,” captured most people's feelings about the image.

“I had the same reaction when I looked at the top of the ice machine in the kitchen.” [sic]” said one Redditor.
Some described the events that led to the gag-inducing photo.
“The mop sink will crack or the drain will fail. Water (mold) will start to collect under and around it. Replacing it will cost a lot of money and in some cases, a piece of FRP will be used. there is [fiberglass reinforced plastic] The walls need to be replaced too,” one person wrote.
People online offered explanations for the cause of the kitchen gag scene

“I've never seen a removable mop sink. I'm going to assume it was never installed properly, just seal it without worrying.” The mop sinks (aka floor sinks) I've seen ) are all stone basins. In most cases an additional drainer is installed in stores to drain the water from the wall to the sink, but I have never seen a completely stainless floor skin. I understand both the value and the drawbacks there, and I like it,” another Reddit user explained.
“I don't think it's necessarily necessary to put chalk or silicone beads around the gutter wall if it's installed properly, but instead regularly clean the walkway and the sink it sits on. I think it needs to be cleaned,” the Redditor continued.
