Good evening, Kibitzers. I hope you have an early and happy spring. The spring equinox is tonight at 11:06 PM ET/8:06 PM PDT. To my credit, my weather tomorrow is looking to be sunny and warm, with a “slight chance of snow showers” overnight, but “little to no accumulation”? Well then. Okay!
I was going to do KTK pitch meeting I've been saving videos for years, but I have so many that I've put it on the back burner. As always, trying to pick up only what could reasonably fit into a diary was a daunting task. It wasn't that hard, though, when Tom Tomorrow put his favorite catchphrase from the series in the middle of his story. this modern world On March 11th, I took it as a sign that the time had come.
Ryan George is a Canadian comic actor and writer who posts a lot of material on YouTube.I need to write another diary about him, but that's another thing. pitch meeting, I don't know if I'll be able to post next week.of pitch meeting The sketches began as part of a movie-related channel called ScreenRant, where they were collected into their own playlists. But they became popular enough to continue on their own pitch meeting channel.
pitch meeting The video features two characters: Producer Guy and Writer Guy, both played by Ryan George. It is believed that the sketches all took place in the past, before movies and TV shows existed, and the idea is that Guy, the screenwriter, came to pitch the script to Guy, the producer. But instead of having realistic conversations, they openly admit to the plot holes, ridiculous premises, and questionable motivations in their stories. It wouldn't be interesting to explain it too hard, so I'll just show you. Please be aware that there are spoilers.
(I can't find it now, but there was a part of the interview in which Ryan George explained the origin of the giant-eyed character in the thumbnail. I don't remember what it was, but it just came to mind. (I remember that it was more of a casual choice than it was.) It must have some deep meaning. It's definitely creepy though! )
home alone [6:05]
This sketch is an early one, so the ongoing Kabuki that has since unfolded wasn't really set yet, but most of it is there, including the famous phrase mentioned by Tom Tomorrow . (You can also buy his “Super Easy, Almost Inconvenient” t-shirt.) It’s all… pretty meta.
