Some of the ways we added an elevated look to this kitchen were an unexpected cabinet color, tall tower cabinets, mixed metal hardware, open shelving, and a custom hood as a focal point.
We love picking original space elements that our clients are drawn to, without the help of a designer. Knowing what naturally inspires them will give you tips on what details to add to your final photo to make them smile. In this case, they had found pieces of stained glass in a window and were converting it to leaded glass in a cabinet.
The coastal theme comes through in the color palette, driftwood-inspired chairs, and artwork without being too overpowering. After all, we wanted them to have a true Southern California dream home.
