Kitchens & Baths (3002 75th St.) held a grand opening and ribbon cutting Wednesday to celebrate the store's new local ownership.
Proclaiming that “the heart of the home is the kitchen, and the sanctuary is the bathroom,” the store is currently owned by local residents James Warner and Joseph Jonke, with Cecily Gaitan as lead designer and Adriana・Portman is the design consultant.
The business, originally started in 2008, took on new ownership in November and held a ribbon cutting on April 10th.
“The opportunity presented itself, so we bought the business, renovated it and brought on a new team,” Warner said.
The newly renovated interior features several kitchen and bathroom displays that shoppers can peek into and “actually touch and feel the surfaces,” Gaitan said. You can change the display over time as trends change.

“We are here to help people through the renovation and new construction process,” Gaitan said. “We want to be a place where people can come when they need something.”
The celebration included free food and snacks, raffles, giveaways, and a drawing for a $1,000 gift card.
Warner thanked the Kenosha Regional Chamber of Commerce and the nearby new business community for their support leading up to the event.
