The Caldwell County COPE Youth Services Center announced that Caldwell County's King's Kitchen will continue to offer a summer feeding program with children's groceries this summer.
King's Kitchen in Caldwell County will be serving children's meals every other Tuesday from 2 to 6:30 p.m. during the summer holidays, according to an announcement. Pick-up dates for this program are June 4th, June 18th, July 2nd, and July 16th. Food is provided free of charge to all children from her 2 years old to her 18 years old. You can pick it up at Southside. The Baptist Church will be open from 2 to 6:30 p.m.
This year, individuals will need to park and enter the facility to pick up a food box or bag, similar to shopping at a grocery store. We provide carts, but you are responsible for transporting your groceries to your car.
To enroll your child in this program, please call or text Lee Anne Gilkey at 270-625-4627 weekdays after 1:30 p.m., but no later than 9 p.m. We need the contact name and phone number of the person receiving the food, as well as the names and ages of all children you wish to register.
Due to limited availability and the rising cost of groceries, authorities have announced they will limit the number of stores opening this year. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend registering early to ensure your spot. Once maximum capacity is reached, a waiting list will begin. If you are on the list and do not show up on your scheduled date without prior notice, you will be removed from the list and your seat will be given to someone on the waiting list.
