Fast-casual Mediterranean concept Taïm Mediterranean Kitchen has closed its Reston location just four months after its grand opening. FFXNow report.
Taïm is a New York-based chain that specializes in falafel, pita sandwiches, and grain bowls. The Reston location (11692 Plaza American Dr., Reston) opens in December 2023.
“While the news of our closing is true, we deeply regret that we will no longer be part of the Reston, Virginia, community,” a company spokesperson said in an email. “As we refocus our efforts to optimize growth in the New York City metropolitan area, we hope that Time fans will continue to enjoy our famous falafel and hummus in our existing (and soon-to-open) locations.” We hope that you will continue to enjoy Taïm.
The Fairfax City store, which opened in August at 11011 US 29, and the Falls Church store at 7502 Leesburg Pike are also permanently closed.
The restaurant's website lists 13 locations, 12 of which are in the New York area. The closest location is at 1514 Connecticut Ave. in Dupont Circle, Washington, DC.
