Scratch Kitchen, a boutique restaurant specializing in breakfast and lunch menus, will open in early May at 199 Warren Street in Glens Falls. Mr. Semon, a local Denver chef who owns Scratch Kitchen, wanted the restaurant to have the feel of a country store.
“All food is made from scratch and carefully sourced. The menu will consist of sandwiches and salads, as well as unique menu items that complement my fine dining experience,” said Siemon. post star.

The demands of working as a chef for more than 20 years, long hours, weekends and holidays, began to take a toll on Semon, who wanted to change his life. Instead, focusing on breakfast and lunch, grab-and-go items and bakery items will do just that.
“The Scratch Kitchen was a change for me. We'll be selling a lot of baked goods and pastries, specialty coffee drinks, etc., as well as prepared meals to go,” Semon said.
Semon said he may offer several more special dinners in the future.
“From the ground up” literally means that Semon has a childcare center license.
“I have started hundreds of plants from seeds, including vegetables, herbs, and flowers, which I plan to sell at Scratch Kitchen. I grow many varieties that you won't find at big box stores,” she said. Ta.
Semon’s passion for growing and gardening motivated her to incorporate that aspect into her business. “I grow a lot of cut flowers on my property in Fort Ann and will be selling cut flower bouquets this summer and fall,” she continued.
An opening date for the scratch kitchen hasn't been set yet, but Semon is aiming for early May, about two weeks from now.
“We plan to announce a 'grand opening' once final preparations are complete,” Siemon said. post star.
Business hours are Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. These hours are subject to change based on performance.
