Interior designer arranges the look So Putting together beautiful seasonal decor is easy, but I've always found it difficult. Finding an interior that not only matches your style but also has a cohesive feel can be difficult, especially when you're on a budget. But that's where this unique home decor subscription box comes in handy.
What is decorated?
Decocrated is a quarterly subscription box that offers carefully selected seasonal home decor items. Each box contains 6-9 full-sized products including decorative trays, tabletop decorations, cushion covers, table runners, small DIY projects, and more.
Each box also includes a booklet with product descriptions and styling tips and tricks for that item. Additionally, members have access to her Decocrated online store with additional home decor items, as well as her Facebook community for the brand called “The Decocrators.”
How much does it cost?
This subscription service costs $79.99 if you bill quarterly or $299.99 if you bill annually (you save $20 with the latter option). While $80 isn't cheap, Decocrated claims that each box's price is well below retail, meaning you'd be paying more if you bought each item individually. I am.

Introducing the winter 2020 box
I wanted to see if Decocrated was as great as I thought it was, so I put the Winter 2020 box to the test. Everything arrived neatly packaged in a cute box and I felt like a kid at Christmas when I opened it. Here's what we found inside:
- framed art: Simple botanical print and wooden frame.
- Thread shelf: A cute wood and metal shelf shaped like a small sled.
- winter pillow: This is a reversible body pillow cover.
- The Village House: Set of 4 wooden tabletop decorations in the shape of a house and a tree.
- desk calendar: A desk calendar made of rustic wooden blocks.
- bohemian snowflake: A wooden decoration with a geometric pattern to hang on the wall.
The package also includes a home decor inspiration booklet and a small 4×6 seasonal print that you can stick on your fridge or put in your own frame if you like.
Everything we loved was decorated
The contents of the decorated box were really cute, and I especially liked the sleigh shelf and village house! I felt that both pieces were of high quality that could be used for a long time, and although they are seasonal items, the desk calendars and framed art can be used as interior decorations all year round.
I think one of the best things about Decocrated box is that every item has a very consistent aesthetic. The box's color palette is reflected throughout its contents, and the wood tones all match. This makes it really easy to display the pieces together and creates an incredibly beautiful and curated feel. It actually took me no time at all, but it looks like I spent hours looking for the right item. Additionally, the booklet included lots of adorable images that gave me lots of ideas on how to style my pieces.
Another small (but important) detail that we liked was the packaging. You can see that Decocrated strives to minimize the amount of waste that goes into shipping. Products fit strategically into each other and are packaged in recyclable materials wherever possible. It's always great when brands take steps to minimize their carbon footprint. (Here are some other ways to reduce waste.)
What are the disadvantages?
There were a few things I didn't like about the Decocrated box. Some of the pieces felt a little cheap, namely the framed art and the winter pillows. It was also disappointing that the pillow did not have an insert. Since it's rectangular, I couldn't even place it on top of a regular cushion.
Additionally, the entire box has a very rustic farmhouse style. This hasn't been an issue for me since most of my homes have a similar aesthetic, but if your preferred design style is contemporary for example, this box probably won't work for you. .
Would I buy Decorated again?
Probably not every season, but I think I will definitely buy Decocrated in the future. My biggest struggle with seasonal decorating is finding small pieces that look great together, and Decocrated excels in this area. I also liked that the overall style of the box matched the existing decor. However, that doesn't apply to everyone.
The price is a little high, but most of them are well made and will last a long time. Plus, if you can save yourself hours of effort searching for little touches for your holiday display, I think the expense is worth it.
