What pop artist Maria Qamar, also known as Hatecopy, is passionate about home decor.
After getting laid off from her job as a copywriter in 2015, Maria Kamal started spending her free time on her favorite hobby. It's a satirical cartoon-style pop art doodle inspired by her life as a South Asian woman. She posted her doodles on her Instagram under the name Hatecopy (a subtle jab at her career) and quickly realized that the subversive humor behind her work resonated with a wide audience.
