April 24 (UPI) — Firefighters called search and rescue teams to rescue a poodle they found trapped under the kitchen of a “substandard” home.
Mid-West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said in a news release that a three-year-old poodle named Jock was trapped in the basement when crews arrived.

Firefighters did not explain how Jock became trapped under the house, but noted that it was a “substandard construction home.”
The City of Wales Urban Search and Rescue Team was dispatched to assist with the rescue, and the team used listening and seismic equipment to locate the dog under the kitchen.
Firefighters removed a patio slab from the yard and dug a tunnel to “create a second access point through the kitchen floor of the property.”
Jock was safely rescued and reunited with his owner. He was not injured.
