MACON, Ga. — It's Friday, but do you know what time it is? Time to talk about fried food!
This year's Fried Food Friday features soul food classics.
Dawson's Kitchen has been serving Macon for several years, and people line up when the doors open for their delicious-looking fried chicken.
Miss Patsy Bivins is a Southern staple.
She has worked at Dawson's for nearly 26 years and works hard as the kitchen manager.
When we asked her what makes her chicken special, she had only one thing to say:
“Love, love. You have to love what you do and do it right,” she said.
She said the people who enjoy her meals mean the world to her and bring light to her life.
“When they tell me things like how much they love it, that's the best part of this work,” she recalled.
She says if you come to try her food, you'll definitely come back again.
“If you come here and try my fried chicken, you're going to come back,” she said.
If you want a plate of chicken, you can find Dawson's Kitchen at 3360 Brookdale Avenue in Macon.
