If you read my recent home tour of my 235 square foot studio, you know I'm short on storage space. My kitchen doesn't have a single drawer (yes, you read that right). This means that your cooking utensils will be placed on top of your refrigerator or in your oven. This is not ideal. Pots and pans are inherently bulky, so there's not much you can do to make them smaller. But that doesn't stop me from pretending to be Ina Garten.
Instead, I'm looking for small space-friendly options, like British kitchen and home organization brand Joseph Joseph's genius new pots. The Space collection marks the debut of cookware, and like the rest of the range, it's clever.
If you remove the handle, the cookware is basically just a bowl. And that's what Joseph Joseph has accomplished with his SwingLock technology, which allows each to flip when not in use. Simply pull the tab on the underside of the handle to fold it 180 degrees. It feels like a magic trick every time. The opposite support and lid handle also fold down, so nothing really sticks out. If your kitchen is as small as mine, even 2 inches can make a big difference, so these little features can be very helpful.
I decided to try the 8-inch skillet and 3.5-quart saute pan, which I thought would be perfect for one-pot meals like shakshuka and stews. These stack perfectly on top of each other. I don't think it will be long until I get the entire 10-piece collection, plus the wok and stock pot. This set also provides a lid holder and pot protector, and everything is really thought out.
Joseph Joseph 10-Piece Ceramic Nonstick Space-Saving Cookware Set, Williams Sonoma ($600)

After trying it out for a few weeks, I loved cooking with it as much as I loved putting it away. The eggs fried in the 8-inch size are really nice, and each one slides right off thanks to the non-stick ceramic coating. Like many newcomers to this category, these are non-toxic and made without all the things I want to avoid (PTFE, PFAS, PFOA, lead, cadmium). If you want to make something in the oven, the oven can withstand up to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. We don't carry much more than cheap gas stoves, but our selection also covers all cooktops, including induction.
You may think that all these professional products are very expensive. However, prices start at just $90. Good luck and he buys a set of 6 for $600. This figure stands squarely among the combinations of other fashionable brands. A similar watch set from Callaway costs the same price, and a set from Greenpan also includes the same sizes in ceramic non-stick material and costs $400 (though both have the coveted flexible handle ). I'm starting to feel like it's a waste to get rid of all my old cookware, but as someone who lives without drawers, there's nothing quite like it.
