What did I miss?
Father-son duo Martin and Roman Kemp stepped into the Saturday Kitchen Live studio this morning (May 4), where their similar wardrobe choices instantly became the talk of the town.
After being welcomed by cooking talk show host Matt Tebbutt, former Capital FM presenter Roman took it upon himself to take a dig at Martin, who had apparently stolen his look.
What, how and why?
“Nice to meet you, how are you?” Matt asked at the beginning of the show, and Martin looked bewildered as he immediately pounced on Roman.
“Are you okay?! No, listen… let's start with the elephant in the room here,” he said. “Yes, yes, this morning I said, 'Dad, I'm going to go home today. I'm going to wear a nice dark navy blue shirt, and it's going to have a little bit of texture to it.'” said, “Oh, okay, see you later.'' He appeared exactly the same.
“Thank you so much for taking care of me,” the younger Kemp said with a smile.
Finally answering Matt's question, Martin continued to laugh. “I lost it. I forgot Alexa's name the other day, I forgot! You know how to say, 'Alexa, what's the weather like today?'” “Um…Siri? No, yours.” …Oh, Alexa!”
What else happened on Saturday Kitchen Live?
Aside from the outfit clash, the pair appeared on the latest episode of Saturday Kitchen Live to promote their new podcast, FFS. My Dad is Martin Kemp and the first episode was released a few days ago.
“Join Martin and Roman Kemp each week as Roman sets out on a mission to document the father-son relationship, the deep conversations, and the banter they share on a daily basis (before Martin's time runs out!)” The official synopsis has been teased.
“The question Roman wants answered is: Will Martin make headlines if he dies? Will he be featured at the prestigious BAFTAs or immortalized in an NTA montage? And perhaps most importantly, what kind of song would Martin want to come out with at his funeral? ”
Saturday Kitchen Live is broadcast on BBC One.
