Newsmax host Chris Plant The chef Jose Andres World Central Kitchen and the seven aid workers from the organization killed in the Gaza Strip were “feeding terrorists” when they were killed in an Israeli airstrike, the organization said.
In April, Israel attacked an aid convoy operating in coordination with the Israeli military: Israel attacked one vehicle, after which survivors boarded another vehicle, which was also attacked, and a third vehicle was attacked after other survivors boarded it and tried to escape.
The IDF later apologized, calling the attack a “serious error.” Two senior officers were fired.
Friday The right teamPlante accused the victims of “giving favour” to Hamas, which carried out a terror attack in Israel on October 7.
During a discussion of the ongoing war in Gaza and the dire humanitarian situation there, one panelist noted the attack on the World Central Kitchen convoy and said Israel is bombing Gaza indiscriminately.
Later in the programme, Plant walked back on his comments, suggesting the aid workers deserved to be killed.
“I don't believe Israel is killing people indiscriminately,” Plant said. “José Andrés was in a Hamas convoy feeding terrorists.”
Andre claims that Israel deliberately attacked the convoy.
“They were systematically targeted, car by car, and attacked over a distance of more than 1.5 to 1.8 kilometres,” he said.
A few days after the attack, a UN representative said: “So this wasn't just an unfortunate situation of, 'Oh no, we dropped the bomb in the wrong place.' This was a very clear humanitarian convoy, 1.5 to 1.8 kilometres long, with signage on the top, on the roof. A very colourful logo, which of course we are very proud of, which clearly states who we are and what we do.”
