Savvy shoppers picked up name-brand kitchen items with list prices of around $300 for just over $10.
A thrift store shopper shared a photo of a Le Creuset-brand tajine pot he found for a great price in a Reddit post.
“Le Creuset Tagine in perfect condition,” user Berzerker-Barrage (@Berzerker-Barrage) captioned a post in the Reddit community r/ThriftStoreHauls.
“(And my favorite color) – $13.”
The post included two photos of red tajine pots, a North African cooking pot.
According to The New York Times, the kitchen appliance has a cone-shaped lid in which fragrant stews are traditionally cooked.
“The day before this discovery, I had been discussing my desire to explore Moroccan and African cuisine more deeply,” the Reddit post added.
“I've always wanted one, but never worth $300 for!”
This particular brand of tagine sells for around $270 on Le Creuset's Amazon store.
Many other thrift enthusiasts in the Reddit group were pretty amazed that they were able to find the item for so cheap.
“I'm so jealous,” someone replied.
“My parents lived in Morocco before I was born and my mother used to make curries in a tagine pot, which is a wonderful discovery.”
“This is the first post that's made me jealous in a while,” another person commented.
“I have an Emile Henry tagine pot and wish I had bought the Le Creuset version!”
The original poster who reviewed Le Creuset products asked respondents about Emile Henry branded products.
“How was your cooking experience?” they asked.

“Love it,” the Reddit user replied.
“I've been using it for over 10 years now. I bought it new at full price and I'm not sure if it's worth the money, but I definitely use it.
“I actually recently had the base replaced under warranty by EH because the glaze had cracked and I was concerned about whether it was food safe.”
In response to Berzerker-Barrage's original post about their amazing recycled finds, one person just wanted to know what the use of that lovely kitchen item was.
“This is a North African slow cooking vessel traditionally used to make stews,” the Reddit user told other members of the recycling community.
“This shape traps the steam and allows the condensed liquid to drip down the sides into the dish.”
