After serving breakfast and lunch in its dining room in Henderson for nearly a decade, Kitchen Table has closed its doors. Chef and owner Javier Chavez announced the closure in a post on his Facebook page that was only visible to friends of the page.
A person who saw the post shared an image with the Las Vegas Review-Journal showing a sign at the restaurant's front door announcing the closure, with the restaurant's last day of business being Sunday.
“After 10 amazing years in Henderson, our lease at Kitchen Table has come to an end,” Chavez said in a statement to RJ's explaining the reason for the closure. “As I reflect on the past decade, my intentions remain the same: to reopen a sociable dining experience and once again serve all the people who have supported me over the years.”
Kitchen Table opened at 1716 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway in Country Club Center in fall 2015. Over the years, the restaurant has become known for its comfort food with a twist, including foie gras and apple skillet cake, granola-crust French toast and ribeye Philly sandwich with jalapeño cheese sauce.
A second location, Kitchen Table Squared, opened in The Gramercy on Southwest Street in December 2017 but closed in the fall of 2020.
