Our gorgeous outdoor dining terrace is a beautiful space to enjoy before heading inside for dinner, or throughout your meal. With a mix of seating and tables, it's perfect for intimate dinners or larger groups, with views of downtown Versailles as a backdrop.
And if you don't have to drive, that's even better: on Wednesday and Thursday nights during the summer, the AmuseBUS luxury transportation shuttle service offers a night of luxury.
Guests who book dinner for two at the hotel's farm-to-table restaurant, Silas Creative Kitchen + Cocktails, can reserve a complimentary round-trip chauffeur service from Dayton and Troy to the Versailles restaurant. Service runs every Wednesday evening from Dayton and every Thursday evening from Troy during the summer. During the drive 46 miles from Dayton and 26 miles from Troy, guests will enjoy a custom playlist, signature hotel scents and complimentary wine or Champagne.
My husband, a few friends and I recently booked this and it was lovely from start to finish.
It's hard to emphasize enough how amazing this space is. At the restaurant, Executive Chef Aaron Allen serves up an incredible seasonal menu of farm-to-table ingredients, using produce provided by farmer Benjamin Briggs of Sycamore Bridge Farm, which is located on the Hotel Versailles grounds. Meats are sourced from Winner's Quality Meats and King's Poultry Farm. As impressive as the food is, the beverage program is just as impressive, and the restaurant has a Certified Executive Bourbon Steward on staff, making it one of only four restaurants in Ohio to have a Certified Executive Bourbon Steward on staff.
Guests looking to enjoy the whole night can book an Ohio Staycation package to reserve an overnight stay and chauffeured transportation the next morning.
The van they picked us up in was new and clean and the hospitality was felt from the moment we opened the door. The meals we had blew us away with the Thai Popcorn Chicken ($28) with coconut jasmine rice, dried chili lime sauce, pickled cucumber, Thai basil, roasted nori buttermilk dressing and toasted peanuts and the special of the day, silky delicious monkfish.
The 1819 Burger ($21) was huge, piled high with Hull's Trace Cheddar, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Dijon sauce, pickles and shoestring onions, and topped with the option of a farm-fresh egg ($3), which was delicious and filling.
The charred carrot salad ($13) is fresh and delicious with pickled beets, salted pistachios, arugula, chèvre and green goddess dressing, and don't miss the roasted Brussels sprouts ($13) with Spanish chorizo, Manchego cheese, honey vinegar, potato crumble and fresh dill.
Opened on May 25, 2022, this hotel and restaurant has become a hit and with the AmuseBUS promotion, now is the time to go. Upon leaving, we each received a gift bag filled with chocolates, a gift card and a thank you note. They clearly know how hospitality works and made us feel not only welcomed but appreciated. The drinks, wine and bourbon offerings were just as impressive as the ambiance and food.
Mid-June is the perfect time for a road trip as the Versailles Poultry Festival takes place there, and this patio is a great place to visit before or after the festival and enjoy the whole day, or even all night.
