Caldwell County's King's Kitchen held a successful fundraiser and food distribution drive Thursday in support of their summer feeding program.
The nonprofit organization ran out of funds last year due to rising food costs, so it was in desperate need of donations this year.
Leanne Gilkey, president of the nonprofit, announced that they have raised thousands of dollars, which will cover the cost of food for the children they serve and much more.
