A legendary Maine restaurant is adding a new twist for summer.
Erin French is the owner of The Lost Kitchen, located at 22 Mill Street in Freedom, Maine. The place is a foodie's dream come true and has truly become something of a phenomenon.
Their new Farmer's Market is opening for the season: Join them every Tuesday from 11am-2pm at The Lost Kitchen for their new outdoor market filled with fresh Maine produce sourced directly from your favorite farmers and producers.
In addition to the 20 vendors, there will also be a home shop in addition to a wine shop.
The plant will open for the 2024 season on Tuesday, June 25th, so be sure to come and visit.
Amazingly, the restaurant seats just 48 people and is so inundated with reservation requests that you have to send in a postcard to secure a spot – no easy feat, as the restaurant is only open from May to October, and diners are selected by lottery. But Freedom's beautiful location, unique cuisine, and farm-to-table dinners are also reasons for its popularity, as they receive rave reviews from people all over the world.
Erin has made The Lost Kitchen so popular since it opened in 2014 that it even has its own TV show, which can be viewed on the Magnolia Network, which is now part of the Max streaming service.
Erin and her husband Michael travel across the U.S. to find new recipe ideas for their restaurants. The Erin French “Getting Lost” series premieres on Sunday, June 23rd.
Additionally, she has written a book and has appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show, The Today Show, and CBS Sunday Morning.
