There'll be even more after-hours poker fun in your kitchen in 2025: Food Network has renewed its culinary poker series. Wild Card Kitchenwill host the second season, which will air in 2025. Season 1 premiered in March and garnered over 12 million viewers. Eric Adjepong will return as host for season 2.
Food Network revealed more details about the series renewal in a press release:
“Food Network has ordered a second season of the primetime series Wild Card Kitchen,” Betsy Ayala, head of food content at Warner Bros. Discovery, announced today. In this weekly high-stakes culinary card game, host Eric Adjepong takes over the test kitchen after hours and specially invites three chefs to bring $5,000 to play three hands of his underground culinary poker game. The contestants, who all know each other intimately, will create dishes based on the cards they're dealt, and as they battle it out for their intuition and cash, they'll come out on top and lose their personal stakes. Season 1 of Wild Card Kitchen premiered on March 12 and has reached a combined audience of over 12.3 million viewers (across Food Network/Max/Discovery+) to date, helping to rank Food Network among the top five cable networks in the W25-54 time slot.
“Wildcard Kitchen transports viewers to a late-night party with Food Network's favorite chefs,” said Betsy Ayala, head of food content, Warner Bros. Discovery. “The inventive gameplay has resonated with viewers, and in Season 2 we're continuing to build on that momentum with even more fun dishes and games.”
