Treetop Kitchen: How was your visit?
As you might expect, we recently visited Treetop Kitchen. The restaurant opened in its new incarnation on June 7, 2024. Hours of operation are from 11am until 1 hour before the theme park closes. Please note that Treetop Kitchen is only open Friday through Sunday.
I visited during their second weekend of opening and ordered the Smoked Pork Cubano Sandwich ($17.99).
It's worth noting that Busch Gardens annual passholders can get a discount by entering their pass number when ordering, but passholders don't get access to additional monthly perks like Busch Bucks at Treetop Kitchen, and as you might expect, the restaurant doesn't participate in Busch Gardens' “All Day Dining” plan.
During our visit, guests seemed confused that their Annual Pass benefits were not being applied to their bill. The Busch Gardens Ambassador staff at Treetop Kitchen also struggled a bit with the concept. That said, the restaurant is new, and the issues are explained in detail on the Busch Gardens website. The Ambassadors were working hard to provide quality service with this new concept.
During our visit, we noticed one issue with the mobile ordering system: guests could not make changes to their orders. This issue seemed to be occurring at several tables around us. Still, the ambassador went around the tables to answer our questions. In each case, we were told that the kitchen would be contacted to make the changes after the mobile order was placed. This worked fine, but was not ideal for staff and guests.
While everyone is still learning the system of mobile ordering and table delivery, our ambassadors are working diligently to ensure a good experience for everyone, and we expect some of these issues to be ironed out over the next few weeks.
