Each hack will make your kitchen tasks easier and faster. If you've ever worked in a kitchen, you know how annoying it can be to have a stubborn stain or a piece of tinfoil that's ripped the wrong way. If you're currently looking for a way to fix your tinfoil, you might have some lucky news. Chef Robbie Bell, known on TikTok as @robbiebell8, shared the “best kitchen hack” for fixing tinfoil from my friend Sean Harrell (@barriocomida), one of the UK's best chefs.
As the video begins, the chef gives a big shout-out to Harrell for showing him the trick. Meanwhile, the chef peels off a section of aluminum foil in a weird way to demonstrate the trick. He says, “If the aluminum foil gets tangled up like this, just peel it off a little bit.” Next, roll the aluminum foil into a ball. Rub it on the ragged, unevenly torn edges or areas where the aluminum foil is causing problems. This will peel off the tangled edges and you can continue using the aluminum foil as you like without any hassle.
In the comments section, many praised the hack, while quite a few others shared how they'd hacked clingfilm in similar situations. @rebekahbaily wrote: “Wow! Wow the amount of foil I've had to throw away because of this. Wow, so easy. Thank you,” while @justsomedewd wrote: “Wish I'd seen this 2 days ago. Couldn't fix it, had to line the tray with the pieces,” while @charliedaulby said: “Weird that this is on my feed. Had this problem last night. Had like 2 metres left.”
@clarefoster0 wrote, “I wondered if cling film had this too, thanks for this,” while @ambernectar659 shared a highly requested cling film hack, saying, “Thanks. If yours is the same, put it in the fridge. Plastic doesn't do well with heat.” It looks like the creator saved a ton of foil and cling film in one video.
On a similar note, a woman shared a pasta hack to avoid creating a huge mess in her kitchen sink. This hack also helps prevent broken spaghetti, a major fail in any pasta cooking. For this hack, instead of straining the pasta through a colander, you cover the pasta cooker with a lid and run the water through it. This way, you won't end up with broken pasta or a mess in your sink. You also won't need to use a separate cooker. This method also allows you to make one-pot pasta with regular recipes and mix in the sauce and veggies. It's a great hack that makes pasta cooking a breeze.
The trick garnered a lot of attention, with many convinced they'll never go back to making pasta the traditional way. @amandapleas.com joked, “I started doing this and ended up dropping 3 noodles in the sink while doing it,” while @hype_squad_ceo wrote, “I love this, I use it all the time.”
