Georg Jensen's new kitchen appliance collection is a tribute to the brand's longtime collaborator and former Swedish Prince Sigvald Bernadotte. Fondly known as the Swedish Prince of Design, Bernadotte worked closely with the Danish brand throughout his life, and now his iconic eponymous Bernadotte Collection will be expanded with breakfast staples: carefully crafted electric kettles and toasters.

These appliances are built on two fundamental elements. The first reflects the collection's grooved straight lines, geometric style and colorful shapes. The second reflects the functionality of Scandinavian design, ensuring that most design elements within the home are not only aesthetically pleasing but also efficiently serve a purpose. Bernadotte kitchen appliances embody these principles and are a true testament to the Prince design tradition.
With uniform grooves running across the exterior, the design has an intriguing texture. This simple yet effective touch makes the kettle and toaster elegant and timeless, allowing them to blend in with most kitchens. Both available in mirror-finished and black stainless steel, the duo reflects Bernadotte's crisp, minimalist expression.
Designed for convenience and everyday use, this electric kettle has a capacity of up to 1.8 litres and an automatic shut-off function when the water boils, while the toaster has 7 temperature settings to suit your preferred doneness, as well as the ability to reheat and defrost.
Georg Jensen Design Studio referenced Bernadotte's work, ensuring each piece reflected his distinctive design language while staying true to the brand.
“Bernadotte's new kitchen appliances continue the design legacy of one of Georg Jensen's most trusted designers, who conceived some of our greatest design icons,” said Jacob Siboni, vice president of Georg Jensen. “With thoughtful design and impressive presence, the kettles and toasters are both functional and have strong aesthetic appeal.”
The new Bernadotte kitchen appliances will be available from August 1, 2024 georgjensen.com
