“We had a lot of drinks. We talked about our lives and the album and we were all so excited about it. She was like, 'I need to go home and listen to the songs.' Gracie she, Taylor“She played me 'The Smallest Man in History' and I collapsed to the floor. So we went home afterwards and wrote 'Us' based on that dinner conversation.”
The fire was a grease fire caused by a candle.
“This is a kerosene fire,” she said. “So, honestly, this is a really good PSA for everybody watching: If your candle explodes, pour water on it. I did this at home with a smaller candle… I poured a glass of water on it and it was like the biggest flame ever. It's very scary. Don't ever do this.”
