Reese Witherspoon She met the team at The Home Edit while organizing her house and became a huge fan after watching them transform her space.
Witherspoon, 48, invited organization companies Lauren and Emily from The Home Edit into her home earlier this month to help her organize her kitchen, pantry, and closets. In a behind-the-scenes video posted to YouTube, Witherspoon enthused that she's been a “fan of the organization company for years.”
When it came to which space to tackle first, the cleaners began by removing everything from the kitchen pantry in order to “start with a clean slate.”
They started with an “edit” step, getting rid of clutter throughout the house, then “categorize” each room, for example, putting all of their kitchen items into their own drawers.
“Measuring is key,” Lauren says in the video, adding that for the storage phase, she added clear buckets and holders to every shelf in her kitchen pantry.
The team then organized them by color to make each clear holder more visually appealing. “We love color coordinating,” Emily said of The Home Edit brand.
After a hard day's work, the women called Witherspoon back in to start the task of organizing the pantry.
“Oh my gosh. Guys, this is amazing. I love it.” Morning Show “She's got a lot of room,” Starr said, pointing out that all of her snacks and essentials are stored in a walk-in room.
Witherspoon was thrilled when she walked into the kitchen, which had deep drawers and a large island painted blue and was previously cluttered.
“This is so nice. So neat and tidy,” she said, looking through the drawers. “It's exactly what I wanted. A full set of silverware. It's so nice. It's so organized. I like that there's not all this different silverware mixed together.
The actress' kitchen display shelves have also been updated so that only clear, white crockery and glassware are visible, and plants add pops of greenery throughout the room, which also has a brick wall to draw guests in.
Witherspoon couldn't contain her excitement when she opened her refrigerator, which is now labeled with The Home Edit labels and has drawers set up for fruit, eggs, butter and more.
“Wait a second, this is the part I've been waiting for the most,” she said. “Oh my goodness, this is amazing. Even the fruit is organized!”
of Sweet Home Alabama The star joked that the fridge was once “a wasteland of old stuff that we all left in there,” but now it's “beautiful.”
Witherspoon was in awe of the cleanliness of the space and admired every inch.
“Look at this fruit drawer… it's a rainbow of colors,” she said. “It's so amazing. Every day is going to get better.”

The Home Edit was acquired by Witherspoon's media company Hello Sunshine in February 2022. Witherspoon, who sold the company for more than $900 million in 2021, remains on Hello Sunshine's board of directors.
