In the first episode, the team decided on a menu that included Kori Gomtang (Korean oxtail soup), Gyu Galbijjim (braised beef short rib stew), and Dal Sot (stone pot) Bibimbap. They practiced cooking before heading to Iceland.
In the first episode of Jinny's Kitchen Season 2, the cast decided on the menu they would serve to their guests in Iceland. Lee Seo-jin already knew how to make Kori Gomtang (Korean oxtail soup), so this time the owner decided to step into the kitchen. He fell in love with the dish 10 years ago while in Jeongseon. With advice from the production team and other cast members, the owner of Jinny's Kitchen finalized the dishes for the first menu. Check out the recipe for Kori Gomtang here.
The cast of Jinny's Kitchen Season 2 decided that beef rib jjim (stewed beef short ribs) would be the perfect match for Kori Gomtang. They realized that this dish would be a warming option for residents enduring Iceland's cold climate. Beef rib jjim is the second dish on the menu and is served with fried vegetables to go with it. Viewers can check out the recipe for this dish here.
The final dish on the menu is Dal Sot Bibimbap, a Korean vegan bibimbap served in a pot and garnished with nori seaweed for guests who prefer to skip the meat. A recipe for this dish can be found here. Before leaving for Iceland, Cast Members learned how to prepare the three dishes from professional chefs and even tested the final dishes before their first day in Iceland.
Don't forget to watch “Jinny's Kitchen Season 2” every Friday at 8:40 PM KST on tvN and then on Amazon Prime Video.
