Olga's Kitchen, a southeast Michigan-based restaurant chain, is expanding to three new cities in the state with the help of another Michigan-based restaurant.
Olga's Kitchen, known for its pita sandwiches, salads, soups and Mediterranean-style dishes, is set to expand to Midland, Muskegon and Battle Creek starting later this month.
At all three locations, Olga's Kitchen will operate out of existing Big Boy locations, with the host kitchen serving a variety of Olga's Pita Sandwiches and Olga's Snackers, warmed pita triangles smothered in condiments and served with cheese dip.
“Olga's Kitchen has been a Michigan favorite for more than 50 years, and we're partnering with another iconic Michigan brand to bring our beloved cuisine to a new area of the state,” said Ryan Jones, vice president of operations for Olga's Kitchen. “With Big Boy's track record of delighting customers in Midland, Muskegon and Battle Creek, we're confident they're the perfect partner to bring customers in these markets the Mediterranean flavors our fans crave, made from the same fresh ingredients we use in our other locations.”
The partnership with Host Kitchen will allow Boy Boy's three restaurants to continue serving their existing menus with the addition of items from Olga's Kitchen.
“Partnering with Olga's Kitchen will allow us to connect with new customers and expand our offerings to the communities we serve,” said Frank Alessandrini, Big Boy's vice president of operations.
The Midland Big Boy and Olga's Kitchen partnership will open for the first time at 1513 S Saginaw Road on Wednesday, July 10. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday through Saturday. The restaurant's phone number is 989-631-1059.
Muskegon's Host Kitchen will open next week at 1720 E Sternberg Road on Wednesday, July 17. Hours of operation will be Sunday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the restaurant's phone number is 231-244-3039.
The partnership between Battle Creek Big Boy and Olga's Kitchen will launch next week on Wednesday, July 24 at 2183 W Columbia Ave. Hours are 8am to 8pm Sunday through Thursday and 8am to 9pm Friday through Saturday. The restaurant can be contacted at 269-968-0492.
Currently, there are only two Olga's Kitchen locations in the western part of the state, one in Kalamazoo and one in Comstock Park. With the exception of one in Lansing, all of the Olga's Kitchen locations in Michigan are located in southeastern Michigan. There are also Olga's Kitchen restaurants in Ohio and Illinois.
Olga's items can be ordered for carryout or delivery at all three new locations through order.olgas.com, and can also be delivered through Doordash and other food delivery services.
