In this episode, “Genie's Kitchen 2” was packed with a total of 55 customers (16 teams) on its opening day. While Choi Woo-sik, the main chef for the day, tried to keep things cool, new trainee Go Min-si impressed viewers with her dexterity.
Go Min-si, in particular, proved to be a helpful presence in every corner of the kitchen, helping with any task that needed doing: when she noticed they didn't have enough rice, she quickly cooked another pot, cooking five pots' worth of rice in one day.
After lunch, Park Seo Joon and Go Min Si went shopping to replenish their supplies and encountered the snow-capped mountains of Iceland for the first time. Go Min Si was moved by the beautiful scenery and said: “It feels like I've finally arrived in Iceland.”
During the dinner rush, Choi Woo-sik and Go Min-si helped each other to make sure that the dishes ordered separately were served together, instead of to each table as they were at lunchtime. Later, after all the dinner dishes were served, Choi Woo-sik found Go Min-si preparing kkaktegi for the next day and commented, “Mingxi, have you had a sip of water today?” Upon hearing this, Gao Minsi replied: “I didn't drink anything because I thought I might need to go to the bathroom.”
In response, Choi Woo-sik collapsed to the floor and said: “lost.” After saying goodbye to all the guests, Lee Seo-jin also said to Go Min-si: “Ming Si, stop working! Put your tools down!”
Meanwhile, Chef Jung Yu-mi will be the main chef for the day on “Genie's Kitchen 2” in Iceland next week.
