BETTENDORF — Crawford Brew Works, the Bettendorf craft brewery known for its spacious taproom and seasonal and special release beers, has entered the dining world with a brand new kitchen and food menu.
“We've been open for six years and have evolved our food offerings over that time,” says co-owner Adam Isaacson, “We've tried frozen pizzas, we've run a food truck, and we even run a pop-up kitchen in the winter where vendors come in and bring freshly prepared food.”
“But we've always wanted to open a fully furnished, fully staffed kitchen and restaurant,” he said, “so we started work here probably eight months ago. We started construction and were up and running a few months later.”
The kitchen was carved out of an existing space on the main floor, Isaacson said. Some of the seating was rearranged to improve traffic flow and blend with the space. The kitchen's custom woodwork was designed to match the rest of the brewery.

Food-wise, the owners brought in chef Juan Hernandez to help guide the menu, which will be prepared by head chef Colton Fisk, and will feature street tacos, a mussel and pork belly appetizer, and even a buttermilk pancake sandwich.
To celebrate their new opening, Crawford Brew Works will hold a ribbon cutting on July 12th at 2pm.
The brewery's summer hours are Monday through Thursday from 2 to 11 p.m., Friday from 2 to midnight, Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
The kitchen is open Tuesday through Thursday from 4 to 9 PM, Friday from 4 to 10 PM, and Saturday from 11 to 10 PM. It is closed Sunday and Monday. On days when the kitchen is closed, a food truck will be located on-site.
