Gordon Ramsay-style beef Wellington and Yorkshire pudding will soon be on the menu in downtown Reno, with Ramsay's Kitchen set to open Wednesday.
A sign posted Monday in front of the soon-to-open restaurant at the Silver Legacy Hotel Casino said training is currently underway and the restaurant will begin taking reservations from the public starting July 10. Several employees on-site also confirmed the Wednesday opening.
Ramsay's Kitchen will be the second Gordon Ramsay restaurant to open in Reno and the third in the region, including Hell's Kitchen in Lake Tahoe.
May also saw the grand opening of Ramsay's Fish & Chips at Silver Legacy, with people lining up to sample the popular British chef's deep-fried dishes. In fact, in case you were curious, we sampled nearly everything on the menu at Ramsay's Fish & Chips in Reno.
But unlike the more casual Ramsay's Fish & Chips, Ramsay's Kitchen will stick to the food (and prices) that the Michelin-starred celebrity chef is known for.
For example, the “Everyday Sunday Roast” main course, which comes with prime rib, Yorkshire pudding and roasted vegetables, costs $69.95, while Ramsay's famous beef Wellington costs $79.95, according to the restaurant's menu.
A 34-ounce porterhouse steak? $174.95. But, in Ramsay's opinion, it's probably not raw. It's actually tuna tartare, which costs $26.95.
