PASCO, Wash. — The City of Pasco is seeking innovative proposals for a walk-up food window for Pasco Specialty Kitchen (PSK), located at 110 S. Fourth Ave. in Pasco, which aims to create a hub for culinary creativity and community engagement.
The city is inviting proposals for new food businesses that would utilize PSK’s fully equipped, licensed commercial kitchen and market space.
“This opportunity includes letting people know your product, letting them know who you are, and ultimately growing you,” says Alma Aguirre, coordinator for Pasco Specialty Kitchens. “You'll already have a fan base.”
His advice to anyone looking to expand or start a business is to apply. Aguirre explained that what the city is looking for is a business plan, financial plan, hours of operation, menu and marketing information.
There is also a list of documents required to do business at a PSK, including government-issued photo ID, a Washington State business license, City of Pasco approval, a Benton Franklin Health District business license, food worker cards for owners and employees, and business liability insurance.
The deadline for proposal submissions is July 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. The Request for Proposals is available here and information on the application process here. Call the PSK office at 509-380-5111 or contact Aguirre at aguirrea@pasco-wa.gov. Site tours are available by appointment Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
