A pantry, or any well-stocked and organized cabinet, is the fuel storehouse of your kitchen. Ideally, its contents should be organized enough to prepare a quick meal, provide zesty ingredients (like crispy onions and dried chilies) to spice up the simplest of dishes, and be easily navigated. To me, having tidy kitchen storage is one of the most important aspects of a home, and it seems businesswoman and KUWTK star Khloe Kardashian shares the same sentiment.
Earlier this year, we told you about The Home Edit's pantry interior design, and now we're going to explore how you can replicate her exact organization tips to get started on a pantry organization you'll cherish forever.
“Treat your pantry ideas like any other room in your home and consider the end result from an interior design perspective,” says Jayme Frow, founder of Thoughtfully Organized Homes.
Jamie suggests choosing a color palette the same way you would other spaces in your home, investing in lighting, arranging baskets and boxes, and carefully selecting countertops in the kitchen.
“Functional, beautiful décor can make a big difference not only in how you use your larder or pantry, but also in how you feel when you open the door,” suggests William Durant, owner of Herringbone Kitchen. “Think shelves, drawers, a refrigerator and a stone backsplash. Both pantries and larders are ideal places to keep a toaster or coffee machine, so power outlets are a must.”
Whether you have a pull-out or walk-in pantry, organizing your pantry by transferring foods into matching containers can make your kitchen look more luxurious and create a sense of unity and order—but ask yourself if it's a task you can manage when life gets busy.
“Transferring things into beautiful glass jars, like the Kardashian pantry, always looks perfect on social media but isn't always that pretty in real life. It's an extra chore after grocery shopping and doesn't suit everyone's natural inclinations,” says professional organizer and founder of SortMySpace, Katherine Blackler.
“Grains and pastas aren't always sold in the same serving sizes, so you'll need to allow space for open bags to overflow. You'll also need to decide whether to always empty your jars completely before refilling them to avoid old produce being left at the bottom of the jar.”
If you want to recreate a Kardashian space, look for a variety of storage solutions that blend in with your surroundings while still being practical.
“Baskets are a practical way to store fruit and vegetables, allowing air to circulate and keep them fresh, and they add beautiful texture to a kitchen,” says Simon Templel, interior design lead at Neptune. Choose baskets that suit the depth of your shelves. Smaller baskets can be used as condiment holders, bread containers, shallow box trays to organise space and cookware, or cup totes. “Baskets can be a lovely way to bring warmth to a work surface,” adds Simon.
Below, we'll highlight most of the items Kardashian used in her impressive space, along with similar alternatives recommended by experts.

OXO Good Grips Enclosed POP Large Cereal Dispenser
The Kardashians' cereal selection is obviously great, and as a big cereal eater myself, I'm impressed. The Home Edit took the cereal out of its original packaging and replaced it with the 5-star rated OXO Good Grips 4.5 Quart POP Cereal Dispenser, guaranteed to keep dry foods fresher for longer.
OXO Good Grips POP Container
The Home Edit transferred the Kardashians' bulk snacks, baking ingredients, and grains into these nifty POP canisters to keep them fresh and easy to access. Using the same type of storage solution was key to keeping the look neat.
OXO Good Grips 5.0 Qt POP Large Jar
Nobody likes stale cookies! Instead of storing all of her individually wrapped snacks in a box, Kardashian decided to showcase them in OXO Good Grips 5.0 Qt POP Large Jars, which are just as easy to carry but without sacrificing the kid-friendly serving size.

iDesign Recycled Plastic Stackable Storage Boxes
If you have a small or cramped kitchen, maximizing vertical storage can be extremely useful. That's why you need stackable storage boxes. Use them to store your groceries, such as pasta and dried goods.
Roma rectangular rattan storage basket with cut-out handles
We love the aesthetic of this wicker storage basket. It's very sturdy and has handles on both sides, making it easy to remove and put back on the shelf. Similar baskets are used in Kardashian's pantry to store everything from snacks to tea.
Wooden baskets for organizing shelves
If you don't like rattan, wood is a good alternative. The great thing about wood is that it never goes out of style and it suits any interior space. Strong and sturdy, these boxes can be stacked to save space.
