Adam Isaacson recently saw Crawford's menu. Brewerks'New kitchen.
His eyes immediately landed on the kitchen's version of buffalo wings, the CBW Wings with Mango Jalapeño, his favorite item on the menu.
“Our wings are the best in town. … I'm happy this kitchen is finally complete,” said Isaacson, co-owner of Crawford Brew Works, 2659 Devil's Glen in Bettendorf.
The local businessman was one of about 50 people who gathered to welcome Brewworks' new kitchen on Friday, July 12. The grand opening event included: Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony, plenty of snacks from the kitchen, drinks including the launch of CBW's new beer, One Armed Ginger Red Ale, and words of praise from business and community leaders.
“You've all done great things for our community. … This (kitchen) will be a great addition to Crawford,” Bettendorf Mayor Bob Gallagher said at the welcoming ceremony Friday.
The kitchen began serving food in June, and in that short time it has built up a foodie following who love the menu.
“The response has been positive. … There really is something for everyone,” said Ian Frink, one of the owners of Crawford Brew Works.
Frink and other Crawford officials said during the grand opening that it's been a long, hard road to make the dream of having a kitchen at Crawford a reality. Frink added that construction work on the kitchen began in March, but discussions and planning for the kitchen go back years, all the way back to when the brewery opened a little over six years ago.
One of the owners described the kitchen's menu and concept as an “indoor food truck.”
Crawford Kitchen's menu has won over many fans over the past few weeks, but that may be about to change.
“We'll expand over time, probably seasonally,” Isaacson said. “We'll listen to our customers and see what sells and what doesn't.”
With the opening of the new kitchen, CBW now has about 15 employees, Frink said.

The kitchen is open Tuesday through Thursday from 4 to 9 PM, Friday from 4 to 10 PM, and Saturday from 11 to 10 PM. The kitchen is closed on Sundays and Mondays, but the food trucks will be there on those days.
