Most people, if not all, are tired of household chores. Who really enjoys doing laundry, vacuuming, cleaning windows, scrubbing floors, etc? These are duties, and no one likes to feel obligated. Either way, these are necessary activities that need to be completed to maintain a clean and properly functioning household.
But just because it's a task that needs to be completed doesn't mean you can't make it fun in a unique and creative way, right? You might as well strive to do your best. Complaining and moaning about chores isn't helping anyone. Chores have to be done anyway.
Goldie Hawn's dancing makes housework fun
In a video posted to social media, actress Goldie Hawn found a way to make washing dishes more fun by adding a few dance steps as she scrubs, dries, and puts the dishes away.
The video begins with the “Overboard” star rinsing and drying some cups while dancing in her kitchen to Outkast's “Hey Ya!” She then grabs a plate and dances over to a nearby cupboard, where she returns it to its proper place.
But Goldie isn't alone, as a young man is in the kitchen helping the “Private Benjamin” star wash dishes.
Goldie understands that just because washing dishes is a chore, it doesn't have to be a boring, mundane, or unpleasant task.
“Washing dishes doesn't have to be a chore, it can be a dance!,” Goldie wrote in the video's caption. “It's all up to us.”
And Goldie isn't the only celebrity to appear in the short video: fellow actor and Goldie's longtime partner, Kurt Russell, can be seen dancing to the song just before the video ends.
Psalm 30:11 “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy.”
