Today is World Emoji Day, and Google used the opportunity to announce the expansion of its Emoji Kitchen platform and also preview new Emoji Kitchen effects coming soon to YouTube Shorts.
YouTube first appears Emoji Kitchen will be released on Android devices in 2020, and users will be able to Create a mashup of different emojisThat means you combine them to create new emojis.
And now, Google is bringing Emoji Kitchen to search, allowing you to create your own mutant emojis right within the search engine.
According to Google:
“Type “Emoji Kitchen” into the search bar and then “Let's Cook.” Starting today, you'll see a pop-up with two tabs. The “Mix” tab lets you combine two emojis of your choice. The new “Explore” tab lets you select any one emoji and see how it can be combined with other emojis. Check out “Recipes” for inspiration.
Combining existing emojis to create your own hybrid creations could be a fun way to celebrate World Emoji Day.
YouTube Shorts is also getting an Emoji Kitchen update, with emoji mashup effects coming soon.
Finally, Google also previewed the newest emojis that will soon be coming after being approved by the Unicode Consortium.
“As part of the Unicode 16.0 release, seven new emojis will be added: Fingerprint, Leafless Tree, Harp, Splat, Face with Bags Under Eyes, Shovel, and Root Vegetable. These new emojis will be available as web fonts in both languages. color and Monochrome It will be released in September this year and will be available on Android smartphones by March 2025, and on your favorite Google products in early 2025.“
