TikTok user Garage Gremlin (@fumptruck) wasn't having a great week because of a California Pizza Kitchen order he made from GrubHub during a difficult time in his life.
Not only was she hurt and broke up with her boyfriend, but when she tried to order mac and cheese at the chain, the restaurant forgot the macaroni part.
GrubHub order went wrong
“I'm having the worst week of my life,” Gremlin says, pacing around the house off-camera, “I got hurt, I broke up with my boyfriend, I ordered mac and cheese from California Pizza Kitchen and they sent me cheese.”
The photographer points the camera at a black plastic container filled with melted cheese.
“Just cheese. No mac. No noodles, no noodles,” she said with a laugh.
In an effort to find a solution to this mess, the author claims to have contacted the restaurant to find out what went wrong.
“I called CPK and two people told me that the noodles should be ordered separately and that I got the order wrong,” she said. “I said, 'I ordered mac and cheese,' and they said yes, that's it, and I said, 'No, that's not mac and cheese. Mac and cheese is mac and cheese. It should have macaroni in it. That's what it's called.”
Apparently the waiter didn't understand the concept of the “mac” part of macaroni and cheese, or he was doing his best to convince the Gremlin that macaroni was something different from macaroni and cheese.
“And they both started talking to me as if I was crazy,” she says.
She then shows the meal receipt, which clearly states she ordered pepperoni pizza and mac and cheese.

In the following video, the creator records himself speaking on the phone with a CPK employee who works in the takeaway department.
The creator explained her predicament to him, and the worker looked confused but assured her that the order was indeed incorrect.
“Yeah, they said it was $8 for just the sauce,” she said, to which the waiter replied, “Yeah, that's completely wrong.”
After some back and forth and asking for more details, the salesperson apologized for the confusion and told me to apply for a refund through the app.
