CAROLINA FOREST, S.C. (WBTW) — When you step into OAK Prime Kitchen and Bar, you’re in for what they say is a “one-of-a-kind” fine dining experience.
Set to open in March 2023, the restaurant sees three friends teaming up to bring a unique restaurant to the area.
“We wanted to create something for customers who want a better experience, fine dining and quality,” co-owner Chris Roberts said. “We thought there was a room for that here.”
The restaurant is located near River Oaks Drive, but the name conveys a different meaning.
“One day my wife said, 'Hey, what about Oak Prime?'” Roberts says. “She said it meant 'one of a kind.'”
OAK Prime Kitchen and Bar offers guests a modern and intimate atmosphere.
“You can get a little bit of the Charleston vibe without having to drive an hour and a half,” Roberts said. “And that's exactly what we wanted to offer in the area.”
From salads and seafood to chicken and mouthwatering premium meats, the options are endless.
Pan-seared Alaskan Halibut served with grilled broccolini, a delicious risotto blend, jumbo shrimp and topped with a roasted garlic cream sauce.
The fish was perfectly seared on the outside, crispy on the inside and melted in your mouth.
“When it comes to cooking the steaks, the chef gives them a delicious house-made seasoning,” Roberts says, “and he likes to do what we call bistro, laying them out nicely, slicing them and doing everything, especially for steaks this size that you're giving to everyone.”
The 40 ounce Prime Tomahawk is tender and cooked to perfection, and these dishes are paired perfectly with one of our unique handcrafted cocktails.
Each drink is carefully crafted to not only taste good but look beautiful too.
From the “Smoking Gun” to a refreshing lavender cocktail, there's something for everyone – plus, you can customize your drink to your liking.
“When you come here you're going to enjoy high quality chef-prepared food and drinks,” Roberts said.
Dining at OAK Prime Kitchen and Bar is said to be an experience “like no other.”
OAK is located off River Oaks Drive in Carolina Forest. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
