According to a survey published by LG, 50% of Brits claim that the kitchen rivals the living room as a social space, 24% say the kitchen has become more than just a place to prepare food, and 18% claim that the kitchen is their own personal dance floor.
To create the right atmosphere, almost half of the public (45%) want the style and feel of their kitchen to be able to adapt and reflect their mood and occasion, while almost a third (30%) would like to be able to change the look of their kitchen depending on the occasion.

LG has tapped Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Saltburn choreographer Polly Bennett to encourage people to transform their kitchen into party hub.
Almost half of people (48%) say dancing in the kitchen makes them happy, and over a third (39%) say it helps lift their mood. Nearly a quarter (24%) say dancing in the kitchen is their favourite secret pastime, and 22% agree that it's one of the trends that won't go away during lockdown.
Apparently, some of the most popular celebrity dance partners for kitchen dance sessions include the likes of Rihanna (16%), Shakira (15%) and Taylor Swift (15%).
“Bringing energy to the kitchen is what life is all about,” says singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor. “It was during lockdown that my family and I started kitchen discos and it's a tradition we've kept going ever since. I love dancing with my family to a good playlist, usually disco or pop music – it's a surefire way to lift your spirits and have a cathartic effect.”
Users can link their music playlist to the LG MoodUP refrigerator via Bluetooth and listen to music through the refrigerator's built-in speakers.
