Known for her California modern aesthetic, Sia walked her followers through her moody kitchen on Instagram, pointing out “5 Sleek Kitchen Necessities.” From thoughtful storage to an unexpected amount of appliances, here's how Sia suggests adding a touch of class to your kitchen.
1. Storage of home appliances

The first stylish feature on her list is appliance storage — a place to hide those handy but unsightly kitchen essentials. In this kitchen, she opted for a simple cupboard, but an appliance garage would be just as useful.
Why is this a stylish feature? Have you ever seen a fancy kitchen with covered countertops? Having a cupboard dedicated to your favourite appliances you use every day keeps them within reach, but without messy wires cluttering up the surface.
2. Combined pull-out trash can and double dishwasher

The next stylish kitchen essentials on Shea's list are two features she built into her kitchen island: a pull-out trash can and a double dishwasher. Though the space has two double dishwashers, even one feels more premium than your average appliance.
I love the integrated trash drawer feature, not only does it hide your mundane kitchen trash can, but it also makes it much easier to dispose of food scraps while cooking.
As for the double dishwasher, this tall appliance can wash all your dishes in one cycle, making it perfect for those who love hosting dinner parties.
3. Multiple ovens

Her third suggestion certainly divided opinion in the Instagram comments, but there's no denying it has a certain luxury feel: “Three ovens…one, two, then three,” she suggested, walking through her kitchen and pointing at each one.
Now, three ovens may seem excessive for the average home, but the point of this video is to add luxury to the space, and for those who like to cook for lots of guests (Thanksgiving dinner comes to mind), three ovens may come in handy.
4. Integrated refrigerator

Continuing on the theme of integrated appliances, Shea says the next trendy thing your kitchen needs is an integrated refrigerator. Depending on your kitchen layout, you'll be happy to hear that it's easy to achieve in most spaces.
Hiding your fridge isn't uncommon, but it can make a huge difference to the look and feel of your kitchen. Fridge designs can often be an eyesore, especially if they don't match the color scheme of your kitchen.
Concealing it behind a door that matches the rest of your kitchen cabinetry creates a streamlined design that undoubtedly exudes a sense of luxury.
5. Hidden pantry door

Hidden doors are a popular interior design trend right now, and the kitchen is the perfect place to incorporate them. Instead of a regular door that would look out of place in your kitchen design, Shea recommends adding a hidden door leading to your pantry.
The kitchen featured in the video uses doors that match the cabinets to create a hidden pantry. The design is seamless and elevated, creating a stylish feel. It also makes the kitchen appear larger. Killing two birds with one stone!
