That's enough to cover a portable or built-in single-burner induction cooktop, and even some four-burner models.
But if you want a stove with an oven, you'll be spending between $1,100 and $4,400 for most induction stoves, according to Carbon Switch , but you can save a little more money by using your IRA refund, which can save you anywhere from 20 to nearly 80 percent.
According to the Department of Energy, as of July 19, residential energy rebates are available in New York state, and applications have been approved in seven other states. Rewiring America believes most electrification rebates in other states will begin in 2025.

Why should you buy an induction stove or cooktop?
Just as electric stoves are better than gas stoves, induction stoves are better than either: They cook faster, save energy, and are easier to clean because the burners aren't as high. Plus, they look neat in most kitchens and are safer if you have kids.
Not only will increased efficiency save you money and time in the kitchen, but you'll also protect your lung health by avoiding dangerous gases such as methane, which have been linked to a variety of human health problems and contribute to global warming, so switching to an induction stove will benefit the environment and your family.
Where can I buy a cheap induction cooktop?
If you're not ready to invest in an induction stove just yet, Walmart sells affordable portable induction stoves from brands like Duxtop for around $83. These portable countertop options let you experience the wonders of induction technology for less money. Plus, they're a small price to pay to eliminate the pollution of gas stoves from your kitchen and home.
As one member of The Cool Down puts it, “Portable induction cooktops are a great way to try out induction at a low cost and get familiar with the technology while improving your indoor air quality.”
