Magnolia is once again making its mark at the 20th Anniversary White Blation in Waco, Texas. We're open almost all day long this weekend to buy, browse, and be inspired, and the 2023 lineup definitely showcases some of the trends we've been keeping an eye on. Neutral tones, nostalgic prints, organic shapes, and antique-inspired kitchen items are stylishly finished and ready to take home.
Magnolia, the home and lifestyle brand by Chip and Joanna Gaines, is known for its carefully selected seasonal products that are the perfect addition to any room in the home. This year we had the opportunity to visit Waco's Magnolia Market. It's filled with unique and artistic items you'll want in your dining room. We love rustic, vintage-inspired kitchen decor that's both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Here, we've documented some of our favorite trends from Market at the Silo.
checkerboard theme
Checkerboard has been having its moment for a while, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen quickly. In fact, Magnolia seems to be slowing down the trend and taking it back to its roots, pairing it with neutral tones and wooden elements for a more rustic look. There are plenty of options, from Carmela checkered marble serving boards to red and cream gingham tea towels like this one.
antique style products
The antique look is something most people want to have in their kitchen, but true vintage pieces can cost a pretty penny. Some of the favorites in this category that I have been able to see on the market include the French Gray Reduction Fire Baker and the Copper and Brass Colander. Both are very affordable at just $60 and $30 respectively.
carefully selected pieces of wood
Whether you're setting up a charcuterie board or simply preparing fresh vegetables, a large wooden cutting board is a kitchen essential. Perhaps your parents or grandparents own something older than the hills, but don't steal theirs to complement the modern prairie aesthetic in your kitchen. Instead, consider Magnolia's Herringbone Serving Board for all your serving and chopping needs.
simple pottery
Organic shapes are trending in home decor spaces. More than usual, people seem to be attracted to small human mistakes and natural lines. This is evident in the magnolia silobration. We have seen a lot of artistic pottery works in the form of mugs, canisters, plates, platters, etc. Displayed on minimalist shelves are vintage-looking crackle pitchers that look like they were hand-picked from an antique store or farmers market.
warm woven elements
Tea towels, tablecloths and napkins all have a luxurious feel and add noticeable texture to your table setting, as well as woven placemats that bring an organic element to this collection of warm serveware. . We especially love the intertwined fiber look of the mats and baskets, along with the warm natural wood features and thick linens.
delicate floral pattern
When enjoying the rustic, heirloom style that many of these trends share, no kitchen décor is complete without small floral details. If you rely heavily on neutral colors or wood tones, you'll need to carefully coordinate your colors. The flowers in these flower meadow plates are yellow and add a cheerful hue to the wooden shelves. Much like Magnolia's Hannon wood and brass display shelves.
