Located in Kimball Junction, Vessel Kitchen is a Utah gem you won't want to miss. From the moment you walk in the door, you'll find a restaurant filled with beautiful artwork and photography by local artists, stunning décor, and a level of sophistication that's more reminiscent of fine dining than fast casual. When you're there, you feel like you're at home.
We first tried Vessel Kitchen early last summer, and our dining experience since has continued to amaze us with an innovative and flavorful menu that changes seasonally. His partners, Nick Gradinger, Brian Reeder, and Roe'e Levy, have successfully realized their vision of providing fine dining at affordable prices. The three believe in a dining experience that leaves you feeling better when you leave than when you arrived, and above all else, they focus on quality ingredients. They are passionate about supporting vendors within the Utah community and source local ingredients whenever possible. It can't be ignored.
Between great cheeses from Gold Creek Farm in The Woodlands, fresh bread from Red Bicycle Breadworks in Park City, and several ingredients from other small-batch artisanal vendors around the state, Vessel Everything tastes fresher. These high-quality ingredients include yellowfin tuna crudo tossed with homemade lemongrass ginger dressing, on a bed of Mediterranean orzo, cucumber snap pea salad, and Thai-style root vegetable slaw.
Looking for something a little more homey? Tacos are on the menu, but these tacos are served on toasted naan flatbread and include made-to-order falafel, Chef Roe's hummus, and homemade Contains kimchi.
Olivia's favorite dish is the HushHush signature bowl, which consists of braised beef, sweet potato hash, Gold Creek feta, house-pickled onions, horseradish aioli, and parsley. Served with Dolce Vera (American Fork) French macarons. Will, on the other hand, is a fan of Herge Fenin's flatbread tacos. Braised beef, smashed avocado, flavorful tomatillo pico de gallo, spicy avocado salsa, local micro cilantro and Sas Cookies (Midway, UT) for dessert.
Vessel Kitchen is finally expanding and plans to open its first Salt Lake location in Midvale this winter. We encourage everyone in the valley, located in the heart of Fort Union, to take this opportunity to try Vessel and see why it's one of our favorite stops.
