slow cooker
If you appreciate getting big returns without putting in a lot of effort, you may want to consider getting a slow cooker. There's nothing better than blindly throwing various types of chopped vegetables, vegetable stock, maybe coconut milk, and a ton of spices into the slow cooker before heading out to work, then returning to your fragrant apartment with several days worth of food. There's nothing great about it. If you want to reuse vegetable scraps, you can make a great vegetable stock in just a few hours.

Again, we're obsessed with soup season, so an immersion blender is sure to come in handy this fall.
