WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — A man with more than 70 arrests is on Wichita Falls Crime Stoppers' Most Wanted list for separate theft charges that were enhanced by a criminal record.
Billy Wayne Crawford, 58, has 11 previous theft convictions and 75 total arrests. His most recent theft conviction was in December 2022, for which he was sentenced to one year in prison.
In one theft, he stole nearly everything from an N Street apartment after being evicted, police said. He reportedly took pipes, cabinets, large appliances and the kitchen sink.
Another conviction was for taking a medicine ball from a fitness center on Brookdale Drive.
In another incident, police said Crawford was given the keys to start a BMW by the owner of a BMW that was for sale and then drove off.
Crawford's sentence for theft is 180 days to 14 months.
Crawford is described as a white male with red hair and hazel eyes, weighing approximately 210 pounds.
He is 5 feet 11 inches tall.
